Achieving accreditation from a nationally recognized certifying body is indication that an organization is committed to providing high-quality care and continuously improving safety processes for workers and patients. However, while the benefits are many, the process may at times, be stressful. Instrument reprocessing follows logical steps to ensure instruments are safe for reuse. However, behind those logical steps, there are a multitude of critical processes that must be followed, which can at times create stressful situations. What if the process can be successful without driving high levels of stress? Re-live a recent accreditation survey through an interview with the Director of Dental Administration from a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center. This story is compelling! You will hear how this team moved from feeling overwhelmed to understanding and implementing the processes necessary to meet accreditation standards. Even if you aren't going through an accreditation process, this session will provide great insight on instrument reprocessing.
