Boil water notices require dental offices stop use of municipal water for handwashing, cleaning instruments and automated water equipment. This webinar provides “How To” directions for managing dental water during a Community Boil Water notice and the corrective action required after the boil water cancellation. Attendees receive the ADS Guide “Return to Work After Prolonged Shutdown or Reduced Operations” for preparing their office Plan of Action during community boil water incident.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify municipal source water in the dental office.
2. List alternate safe water sources during a boil water notice.
3. Determine required corrective action for dental equipment after a boil water notice.

From the AIDS Pandemic to the COVID Pandemic, Jackie Dorst has helped AAO members provide safe care for patients and the orthodontic team.

Jackie received her microbiology degree from the University of Georgia and her dental hygiene degree from Clayton State University.

She has been a featured speaker at the International Orthodontic Congress in Paris, the International Congress of Dental Technology in Japan, the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

She is a graduate of the OSHA Training Institute and is OSHA-approved to provide safety training courses.
