  • Provide a broad overview of methods available to disinfect and test dental water quality, including DUWL management best practices, including impact of periods of non-use, extended closures.
  • Shine light on the most encountered hurdles to DUWL maintenance and testing, including attitudes, knowledge gaps and practical application in individual, group practice settings and larger institutions
  • Share ways to enhance staff engagement and compliance with DUWL protocols.
  • Provide information on how to overcome hurdles to instituting DUWL maintenance and monitoring protocol.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Recognize the need for appropriate DUWL maintenance protocol including disinfection and routine monitoring.
  2. Describe different categories of products that are available for DUWL treatment and testing.
  3. Apply the knowledge for understanding and overcoming barriers to instituting a successful DUWL management protocol and engage the dental team in DUWL compliance.
