This presentation focuses on an often overlooked, yet critical aspect of dental care: eye safety for our patients.
While we're all trained to prioritize eye protection for ourselves, it's equally essential to recognize the risks our patients face, both biological, like splatter from saliva and blood, and physical, such as accidental contact with instruments, various debris, projectiles, or materials.
This presentation will walk through the real hazards present in the operatory, evaluate the current standards, and explore how we can improve eye protection for our patients, especially in areas like the bottom gap of eyewear. Ultimately, our goal is simple: Prevent injury. Protect vision. And promote safety with every patient encounter.
