I began my career in dentistry working as a dental assistant for my father, a General Dentist. I experienced dental office operations from both the employee and employer perspective. My father sold his dental practice in 1982 and returned to dental school to become an Endodontist. I moved to Northern California where I worked for a local dentist. I was assigned the role of "OSHA Coordinator". Not knowing where to start or what to do, I joined the Association for Dental Safety (ADS) for guidance where I learned how to access trusted resources. Armed with knowledge, tools and training tips I was able to set up and present an OSHA safety program. This presentation was the beginning of my speaking and consulting career in dentistry.
