Elaine Bailey, PharmD

Dr. Elaine Bailey is the Executive Director of the Michigan Antibiotic Resistance Reduction (MARR) Coalition and has served on the MARR Advisory Council since 2000. She earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree and completed fellowship training in anti-infective pharmacotherapy at Wayne State University. Her professional career has been devoted to improving antibiotic use and included positions in academia, clinical practice, and pharmaceutical industry. Through her work with the MARR Coalition, her goal is to educate the wider public and healthcare communities to be stewards of antibiotics in an effort to curb the public health crisis of antibiotic resistance.

Lindsay Taylor, MD, MS

Dr. Taylor is an infectious disease physician and antimicrobial steward practicing in Madison, WI. I am also the antibiotic stewardship coordinator for Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Through this role, I help support improved antibiotic use across the healthcare spectrum, including dentistry. Our recent work includes harnessing claims data to better understand the antibiotic prescribing patterns and trends of Wisconsin dentists.

Marie Fluent, DDS, CDIPC

Dr. Fluent is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Her dental career spans 35 years and includes roles as dentist, both as an associate and practice owner, infection control coordinator, office manager, and dental assistant. Additionally, she has extensive experience and expertise as a dental inflection control clinical instructor, educator, speaker, author, and consultant. Dr. Fluent is passionate and deeply committed to improving dental infection control and patient safety. Through her writing, webinars, and invited lectures, she has educated thousands of dental professionals and students nationally and internationally. Dr. Fluent has written numerous peer-reviewed articles on infection control in the dental setting, OSHA compliance, and responsible antibiotic prescribing. She has also earned the CDIPC certification.

Roger Junges, DDS, PhD

Dr. Roger Junges is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Oral Biology at the University of Oslo. Taking advantage of a clinical background in dentistry combined with post-graduate training in microbiology, Dr. Junges’ research aims do address both proximal and distal determinants of health and disease, with a focus on microbial interactions, the microbiome, and antimicrobial resistance.
