Michael Polen is an experienced insurance sales leader currently serving as a Regional Sales Director at Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group.

He previously held insurance sales leadership roles with Shelter, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide and State Farm Insurance Companies, driving agency growth, sales performance, and organizational transformation.

Michael earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University and has earned 18 Insurance Industry Designations.

Sandra Garcia Young, CDA, CDIPC, RDA, FADAA, FAADOM

Sandra L. Garcia Young, CDA, CDIPC, RDA, FADAA, FAADOM, of San Antonio, Texas, serves as Practice Administrator for CentroMed, one of Texas’s largest nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Centers. With more than 29 years of experience in dentistry, she brings extensive expertise across multiple clinical specialties, operations, and workforce development.

Ms. Garcia Young began her dental career in the United States Air Force in 1996, where she completed the Dental Assistant Apprentice program at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. From 2000 to 2006, she served as a chairside assistant at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at San Antonio, supporting third-year dental students in four-handed dentistry. She earned her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners in 2008 and her Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification from DANB in 2010.

From 2006 to 2011, Ms. Garcia Young served as Dental Assisting Program Director at the Academy of Health Care Professions in San Antonio, where she led the graduation of more than 300 dental assisting students. In 2011, she joined CentroMed, a Federally Qualified Health Center in San Antonio, where she continues to serve today, nearly 15 years later.

She achieved Fellowship in the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) in 2019 and earned the OSAP-DALE Foundation Dental Infection Prevention and Control Certificate in 2020. In 2021, she obtained the Certified in Dental Infection Prevention and Control (CDIPC) certification, developed by DANB in collaboration with the Association for Dental Safety (ADS). She previously served on the DANB Board of Directors from 2015 to 2021.

Ms. Garcia Young is a recipient of the Air Force Achievement Medal and was recognized as CentroMed’s Employee of the Quarter in 2015 (Management Category). She is a lifetime member of AADOM and maintains active membership in the American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA), Association for Dental Safety (ADS), National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA), and the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA).
