Dr. Ramneek Rai is the Director of Health and Safety and Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Dentistry. She draws her knowledge and expertise in dental infection prevention from the experience of 10+ years of private practice and providing health and safety oversight for 17 clinics that fall under UCSF Dental Center. Dr. Rai has been active in Academia since 2015, teaching infection prevention, control and safety practices, observing and providing support to dental students and residents. She has been an active member of OSAP since 2018 and has served in the role of Director on the OSAP Association Board since 2021. Currently, she is serving as the Secretary to the OSAP Board.
Rebecca Taylor Alvino is the System Director of Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Prevention for UC Davis Health. Rebecca has nearly 21 years of nursing and leadership experience, with expertise in perioperative and procedural infection prevention, and disinfection and sterilization. She is a recognized Fellow of APIC, active in Pacific West Sterile Processing Association, and is a member of the American Nurses Association, AORN, and HSPA.
Rebecca received her Master of Science degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with a focus on Advanced Practice Public Health Nursing and Global Health from the University of California, San Francisco, her Associate of Applied Science degree as a Registered Nurse from St. Joseph’s College of Nursing in Syracuse, New York, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University at Albany, State University of New York. Rebecca is published in several peer-reviewed journals and publications, including American Journal of Infection Control, AORN Journal, and APIC Text Online.
