Michelle Lee

Michelle Lee, is Vice President, External Relations and Policy, at the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), where she works to advance partnerships and policies that strengthen the dental assisting profession and support safe, high-quality oral health care.

Michelle previously served as Executive Director of the Association for Dental Safety (ADS), where she helped expand the organization’s national and global leadership in infection prevention and patient safety. In 2024, Michelle received the Shils-Meskin Award, the Shils Fund’s highest honor, recognizing her outstanding contributions in oral healthcare, and was named one of Incisal Edge’s 32 Most Influential People in Dentistry in both 2020 and 2021.

With more than 35 years of experience in the dental and healthcare industries, she is widely known for bringing leaders together across the profession to advance safety, policy, and progress in oral health care.
